Doom 3 'Ultra Settings' won't hold

I've started a seperate thread as it's a seperate topic.
"Ultra Settings" relates to the game's video quality settings.

Have a play around with Doom 3 Tweaker by cleandesperado. There's a maximum graphics preset that may interest you. The utility provides before/after images of many graphics settings in the GUI. It also gives you an option to save desired settings in an autoexec file that loads every time the game is started.

huh, I downloaded the tweaker. Even that won't run right I get a .NET framework error. I updated to 3.5 .NET framework, but that didn't fix the problem. So I'm at a loss

What operating system are you using?

After disabling that annoying UAC alert, I've had no problems with Vista. =P

You may have a corrupt Windows or this could just be a Vista thing. I don't know anyone running this setup with Vista. Make sure you have ALL of your windows updates.

One more thing, do you have the CD install or the Steam install?

Leave this with me and I'll sort something out in the next few days. I can make you an autoexec file which should keep you happy with your graphics. I've also emailed Cleandesperado about this.

What does it do? Have you tried it on Vista?

upon loading get a .net error linky

then when i click continue and go load preset and load the max settings then generate the config gives me the following linky

what version of vista are you guys using? vista 64 has a crapload of issues with the .net framework as it runs slightly diff to the 32 bit. ive got stuff that uses the .net framework for business and it runs like a dream n 32 bit, but 64 bit wont have a bar of it.
