EA's E3 2009 press conference is starting at 7am (Local AEST), should be more details about it in that. There are live streams of the conferences on most media websites, the streams on Gamespot seems to be coping the best with the high traffic. IGN (E3 stuff was yukky Silverlight only, and even then doesn't work), G4 (not responding at all) & GameTrailers (little less flakey) all seem to be strugling a lot.

The video linked at the above URL is a perfect example of something that sounds "cool" pre-production, but really the editors should have realised that it was 10 times too long, and showed everyone nothing. Not even cinematics, let alone gameplay. PS - don't waste your time watching it, just smile and nod with my rant, its for your own sake!

While I enjoyed Crysis it really was just an excuse to make a game to show off the engine, much like Far Cry before it. All of the Crytek games 'feel' and play the same. Hopefully this will not be the case with the sequel, but they are already ranting about the new CryEngine so I assume it will be all engine hype

I had a lot of fun with Crysis, although after the aliens appeared it got a little wierd.

I really hope they invest some time in the story side of things a bit more this time, both Far Cry and Crysis were great right up until the mutants or aliens showed up and then both games turned into a mess. I didn't even finish Crysis because I loath boss fights, I was forcing myself to play on by the end and I really couldnt be bothered when the big nasty showed up so I watched the ending on Youtube instead.

I went through the whole alien ship with no ammo lol, ust meleeing because I ran out in almost no time... took FOREVER to trick the aliens into running around corners at me so I could smack'em around with str suit enabled.

So this is going to consoles, and you can read about why. Oh and don't forget to checkout your new suit while you're at it, and hey did I mention that you're replacing the jungle with New York City?
