Default Anyone else find GRAW2 and RS Vegas 2 more difficult than other FPS?

Is it just me? Have my FPS skills declined? Or is GRAW2 and Vegas 2 alot more difficult than most other FPS games. The bridge level on GRAW2 is just killing me and Vegas 2 is bloody hard as well, and i have them both on easy!

Compared to what other FPS? I hope you're not trying to rambo your way through!

They require a lot more planning than other FPS games, need to think quite a few steps ahead, especially in GRAW. You'll need to die a heap of times to learn the enemy's positions before you actually take them out

The Ghost Recon series, along with ArmA I & II, Operation Flashpoint and a few others are properly known as tactical combat simulators. If a bullet hits, it's usually the end of you. There's very little room for second chances, and the games are designed to be played carefully, and tactically. Americas Army, Red Orchestra and a slew of others have almost cult followings, because they are so different from the "normal" FPS games where death is simply another statistic.

Use your corners, scout and recon an area, lay down covering fire and try to think of it as a war sim rather than a shooting game.

Yes they are very hard, but so much more rewarding if played with the right frame of mind

I don't know, I actually found GRAW 2 amazingly easy, even on the hardest difficulty.

RB6V2 though, that's hard.

I've been playing since the original R6 and GR series, so i know about tactical FPS (my fav genre) These two seem to be a step up. GRAW 2 and the armour and heli's coming at ya, much more difficult than Brothers in Arms and COD series, never mind the 99% of FPS crap out there.

Remind me never to be an elite special forces or counter-terrorist operative.

Yes, they're different compared to BIA and COD! I didn't relaise they were harder than the previous games in the series though, thanks for the feedback

I find that the Ubisoft games in general are a bit harder not because of the planning/tactical aspect but because of the controls and movement.

They just don't seem to be a s fluid as other games. I always feel that it kind of does one thing at a time as opposed to something like COD where it feels more fluid.

It's hard to explain. I just think they feel more "clunky"

Don't hurt me, it's just how I feel
