Tbh, it takes a fair bit of effort for me to get into *any* of the games modeled after a real life war or military. There are some I've had success with, but after serving as a combat infantryman in the US Army during Desert Storm (1st Cav) I often get a case of the mehs at the "realism" schtick the FPS genre tangented to in the post QW/Q3A/UT days.
A lot of my friends feel the same way and so turned to MMOs more after those earlier days of the genre.
Give me FPS games that feel more like sports and less like "reenactments" any day.
Which is why its easy for me to dig games like Section 8, personally. I'm never distracted by putting minutae under the microscope, etc. And my mind doesn't wander to my friends still in the service and going through the stuff in a serious way.
Just my ramblings....
And I am going to buy Wolfenstein btw, but thats always been as much mutants as it is anything else
