Its the last war that there was a clear and emphatic victory to the US/UN. Of course they will celebrate it.
IM keen to have a look at MASH though. Hang out in the Swamp , drinking with BJ and Frank and crack onto Hotlips!! sounds like a hoot!!

![]() You're right in what you said though, but even still there's such an overwhelming majority of those games; as a mature gamer I would like to explore those others and learn more about them.

Tbh, it takes a fair bit of effort for me to get into *any* of the games modeled after a real life war or military. There are some I've had success with, but after serving as a combat infantryman in the US Army during Desert Storm (1st Cav) I often get a case of the mehs at the "realism" schtick the FPS genre tangented to in the post QW/Q3A/UT days.
A lot of my friends feel the same way and so turned to MMOs more after those earlier days of the genre. Give me FPS games that feel more like sports and less like "reenactments" any day. Which is why its easy for me to dig games like Section 8, personally. I'm never distracted by putting minutae under the microscope, etc. And my mind doesn't wander to my friends still in the service and going through the stuff in a serious way. Just my ramblings.... And I am going to buy Wolfenstein btw, but thats always been as much mutants as it is anything else

Team Fortress 2 =D
That always feels sporty, lol ![]() But I see your point, particularly with recent conflicts, there's a lot of excess baggage that can accompany the game.

OK, but when you see a tank on the battlefield... look surprised!

WWI... If it was on the ground, then can you imagine the game...
Time to assault... charge the machine guns and artillary... run die, respawn, run die respawn, respawn, run die.... Time to defend.... Machine gun lots of people, with a rifle shoot, duck, reload, shoot..... If it was true to form, trench warfare would not be all that interesting to play. I would like to see some other great conflicts come to a game. The Boer War, now that would give opportunity for open game play and good strategies. Falklands War, this could be a very interesting game.
