This mod for the original STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl brings the game up to date with changes to the graphics, ai, sounds and bug fixes.

The graphics are a big improvement over the original and the game didn't crash at all as I played it through. (unlike the original which crashed frequently for me).

A couple of additions I really liked where the sleeping bag and the tool box. The tool box is a one use item that allows you to repair guns or suits in the field. You'll need to patch the game to the latest version before using this mod. There's also a realistic weapon add-on on the download page.

If you enjoy the STALKER games then I'd recommend getting this mod and playing it again.

Never played it mp.

Just had a quick look and it appears not. When I try to connect to a server I get thrown back to the main menu without any error message.

-please load the game and confirm you're running version 1.0006 by looking at the bottom-left of the main menu screen
-select 'Nework games' and look for ned-server and try to join
The server will be up for the evening.

The server is a default STALKER v1.0006. It's not configured yet (in progress).

btw, I'll be running some test nights on it soon if anyone here is interested ??

Yep I'm running 1.0006.

Same result. Get a connecting to server screen and after 30secs or so get thrown back to the main menu. Even turned of tyhe firewall to make sure it wasn't causing it.

I've just bought Stalker on Steam as it was on sale.
Can anyone confirm that this mod is installable with the Steam version?

I stopped buying digital versions of games because usually they use a form of encryption that modders usually won't bother with, however... I don't know if that is true with STALKER. I do know it is true with Oblivion and I had to go out and get the CD version.
