[Borderlands] Game Hitching/Stopping

I'm having trouble with the game stopping. I seems to run quite smoothly but every minute or so it will just stop. Normally it is just a few seconds, sometimes up to 30 seconds though. It's getting really annoying. I've only tried playing as Mordecai so I'm not sure if it's just him. It doesn't seem to be graphics perfomance related because it still happens at low settings and low res (680x400)

I've just deleted the local content and am re-downloading the game to see if it was the low-violence pre-load client causing it.

Anybody else had this issue or heard of a fix?

I'd try using some older drivers (175.x) for your graphics card (if it's nvidia). The newer drivers have been known to cause this type of issue in some games with some cards.

Failing that, try updating them to the latest.

It does 'seem' like a graphics related issue (drivers, not resolution).

Got the latest nvidia beta drivers 195.x and set vSync on and its all good now.
