Default [Borderlands] DLC Zombies come Nov. 24th

At least, on consoles they will. They're getting back to us on the PC details. Pricing is $9.99 or 800 MS points, given the game was distributed to many of us via steam we either have them in negotiations with someone to pay for it or we'll be buying it.

Features the Island of Dr Ned
- Zombies (check)
- WereSkags (check)

bastards, the game is stupidly short as it is and they're already releasing the DLC?

That means that the DLC was already finished dev and into testing before the game was released.

Oh well, that's one DLC I won't be buying on principle.

Get use to this Brush, Dragon Age shipped with multiple DLC packs you could purchase. Not released a month after, it was there on Day 1.

It kinda makes sense though. If your art/design is done and you artists and designers/writers are sitting idle while the programmers work on bugs you may as well get the them working on DLC and have it ready to go while people are still interested in the game and playing it.

I actually wish more games did this. The wait from release day to extra content has typically been so long I've not bothered to go back for it as I've lost interest in the game.

I doubt there's much new tech in the DLC, it'll be mostly art/content.

I don't have any issue with this, aside from the technical issues has I've defiantly gotten my money's worth form the game and will be getting the DLC for sure.

I agree with Drac, I don't really mind. However, I do agree with you MB, the game is very very short.

If I'd paid retail price for the game I'd be a bit annoyed due to it's length, but since it was only $37 or thereabouts I feel I've well and truly got my moneys worth already.

Looking forward to having more content, although I'd really like to see a patch first.

You are paying retail price though, just less the box and shipment prices - the margin will be the same/similar.

I wouldn't mind if they'd shipped a "full length" game, but borderlands feels like it's about half as long as it should have been.

DA:O has DLCs, I've paid for DLCs for other games, but in those cases the initial game had a reasonable length to begin with.

Not long enough?

I've just ticked over 100 hours of play time and not yet finished playthrough 2 ...

I'll be getting any DLC they throw at us, pay-for or not ...

Some people race through the game, others take their time to read everything, explore everywhere, shoot everything, etc.

Some concentrate on the main/story quests, others do every possible quest available.

I'm still on my first walkthrough in New Haven area. This with 40hrs played.

I'm the guy that does every quest just because I like to. But we're all different.

Though I'm like that with every game, no stone unturned.

Yeah for the price of the game I'm not overly fussed about some DLC coming out so soon, and they haven't confirmed whether its charged (probably) or not for PC. I've already had plenty of time in game and have much more to explore on the other classes so no complaints there either.

Meanwhile CODMW2 costs 3 times as much and the singleplayer was over in 4.5hrs for some.
