It sort of piques my interest.

Will it just let me down?
Will it be fun for 3 days and then just be boiled potatoes?

Was it just an experiment from a money hungry industry that is searching for the next big thing?

Does it have a community in Aus?

I think borderlands is an excellent game, that has had most of its issues patched up by now Ticklenut. Best served with friends (at least one), there's a cheaper 4-pack deal if you and some mates wanna pick it up together and get rolling.

I picked this up last weekend. So far it's been fun. However, I've only played the solo aspect so far. I tried some online playing with random folks, but it turns into 4 people soloing on the same map. I had hoped for more teamwork. I would imagine that with friends, or at least people playing together, the game would be fantastic fun.

sounds interesting but it will rely on finding toggers still playing I think.

The Steam Friends list may not be flooded with people playing Borderlands every night as it was a little while ago, but yeah TOGgers still play (there are those of us still seeking the "ultimate" weapon drop!) - no doubt the frequency will go up when DLC3 is released too.

And yes, co-op in Borderlands is great fun but for best effect it needs to be with people playing together, not randoms soloing the quests/map - especially since loot drops are a free-for-all situation so it's best to be in a group of people sharing the loot.

Not everyone has played right through with every character class so there's still room for a group of people to "start over again".

Seek out the thread how to buy it from the uk website. Aus is getting ripped of by 2k for being Aus. Otherwise I am starting the other characters. I'll be there to run with you. (just about) anytime.

I thought the game was quite average, fun for a little bit, but certainly didn't match the hype.

I think it is a great game, I have spent more time playing Borderlands then any other game I have bought. I have also had a problem with trying to play with other people. I hope to find someone who has played the MadMoxi DC, it seems that you have to play with more then just has a solo player on this part of the game.
