NEED PLAYERS FOR OLD UNREAL new patch 227f

Gday some of us are playing a bit of old unreal 1 not ut1, and need more players on the australian mars server and my RATS Australia server, no lag these days with adsl2 hosting.
Also occasionly running those great city scape custom maps like dm zahltag and dm zeitkind, and new patch has made downloading from server faster.
Get new 227f patch here Welcome to OLDUNREAL.COM, purely devoted to the old unreal versions it works on all versions even gold,
If patching a gold version and it says cant find unreal folder, just type gold next to the unreal so the directory path is simular to this C/Unrealgold then continue patching.
When first start game some setup menue appears and you should i think select D3D9 so it runs in directx9, and for sound option select top option.

Please note that this release does NOT contain the UnrealGold/Unreal Anthology "Return to Napali" extension yet.
The patch can be applied, but after installation the expansion pack does not work anymore!!!
This is temporary during the development phase and the final version will contain all necessary files. 227f is already a release candidate, so the patch for these versions will probably follow soon now.

Once that's sorted I'll check the updates out and also the Integrity Anticheat system.

Btw, there's a DX10 renderer available for Unreal, Rune, Deus Ex etc that enables stuff like Eyefinity support (I run Deus Ex GOTY in 6030x1200 over 3 24 inch screens via Eyefinity ; )

Wyliecoyote has now set up another dedicated server patched 225 as a precaution for players whom dont have latest 227f pach which should accept gold 226b, 226f, 227f players.
I will just be running the new 227f host which i think accepts all anyway.

Also you can download 227f patch off our site here http://www.mars.hoxt.me/goodys/UnrealPatch227fWin.rar as the old unreal site is confuseing and has some corrupt files in there list of 227f patch hosts.

Good to hear the ol' Unreal making a come back

I will be eagerly watching out for this server to be back online. It's amazing that the game still tweaks interest. The ultimate in age detecting, the more you love Unreal, the older you must be
