Downloadable Content for ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead is coming end of August 2010.

The Arma 2: British Armed Forces is the addon for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and/or Arma 2: Combined Operations. It can not be played seperately and does require the original game in order to be played.

British Armed Forces To Be Deployed In Takistan.

Bohemia Interactive is pleased to announce the reinforcement of Operation Arrowhead - British Armed Forces.

The development of the brand new content has demanded engine updates, resulting in unique features and new gameplay options. The fully modelled artillery and mortar strikes and the extension of the engineer class to include new duties - such as vehicle repair and bomb disposal - add a new depth of realism to the most authentic mil-sim available.

Arma 2: British Armed Forces Features

• The Arma 2: British Armed Forces addon will allow you to play the soldiers of Her Majesty in your multiplayer battles.
• New singleplayer campaign, in which the player is going to command a mobile observation team of British troops into the battle with the Takistani insurgents.
• New weapons, new vehicles.


Game Modes Supported:

• Single-player Campaign
• Single-player Scenarios
• Multi-player (modes: Death-match, Team Death-match, Coop, Sector Control, Capture The Flag, Flag Fight, Capture The Island) Note: “Capture The Flag” and “Flag Fight” are available as the user-selectable parameters of DM and TDM scenario wizards.

The AS50 do you?

.50 BMG sniper/anti-materiel rifle. It enables operators to engage targets at very long (up to 1500 m) range with high accuracy. The rifle is easily transportable and ergonomic and can be disassembled in less than three minutes and serviced without tools.

Its actually moddled in the game as the LRR.

This rifle currently holds the distance record for use.

Only allowed to carry 3 mags for current .50cal & not much else though

Thats why the LLR would be better, less weight, but still the AP reach.

I'm not a fan of paying extra fo D/L content but I have already decided to purchase this for two reasons :-

- The Arrowhead game is a standalone and quality product yet reasonably priced at $50. I can respect that mentality and support the company with my dollars

- New content is fun but the BAF pack also includes a new map and I love new maps.

My total financial investment has ben about $90 + $50 and there is a lot of content. It would be petty for me to fuss over another $30/$40.
