
I have a Far Cry 2 server running for those interested. Most nights it gets between 10-16 players in it. Gamemodes played are usually 'Uprising' and sometimes 'Capture the Diamond'.
Capture The Diamond is like the Capture The Flags mode from various other games. In this case your diamonds must be present to score and stolen diamond canisters will emit security smoke – green for your team, red for your enemies. (means no camping if you're the carrier!)
Uprising is like Conquest modes from various other games but with a twist. Two teams battle to control key strategic points on the map. The Captain is the only member of the team that can capture control points by occupying them for 20 seconds. Once a team has captured all the control points they must eliminate the opposing Captain to win the match. A team can also win by having more control points than the enemy by the end of the match. Team captains wear unique well dressed uniforms so are easily spotted. When you are the captain you will notice a shield top-right of your HUD.
Far Cry 2 uses a class system in multiplayer play. Each class features unique weapons and combat strategies.

• spawn camping allowed
• bad language and abuse tolerated in small doses - TEMP KICK if excessive and warnings ignored
• advertising is allowed but keep it brief - TEMP KICK if excessive and warnings ignored
-ignore warnings after a temp kick results in PERMANENT BAN-
• deliberate team damage - PERMANENT BAN (may or may not get a warning)
