OzGameShop has it for $45, which makes it a bit more attractive. But maybe it's best to wait for the reviews for this one.

quite true - cant fault that but BO is the last Activision game I will buy. I'm sure it will make very little difference to their bottom line but a big difference to mine

If you haven't read the Atomic review of Homefront I would recommend you do. It is sounding very good.

Fingers crossed.

Yeah I read that yesterday. I'm looking forward to it, it sounds great so far.

FWIW, just noticed it comes with Metro 2033 as part of the deal on a pre-order. Might take a gamble on this one.

Given the AU price on steam I predict a short bubble of activity then the local community will pop and move on.

Brink, Crysis 2, Portal 2, Duke Nukem Forever and FEAR 3 releasing in surrounding months all add up to this having the legs of someone even a dwarf would call "shorty".

THQ decided to dump a ton of helium balloons over San Francisco during GDC as a pre-sale promotion for Homefront. The red "GameStop" printed balloons pissed off the local enviros and caused a bit of a stir on Twitter. GameStop took the flack and later issued a brief statement on Facebook denying responsibility and placing the blame on THQ. THQ has since informed the upset masses that they released soy-based, biodegradable balloons.
