Looking to gauge the interest around TOG in Red Orchestra 2.

So if you could please give an indication if you are looking to play the game it would be appreciated.

Pre-ordered... would be playing now if not for the delayed (most recent) release :p

to be honest i've never played it (the first), neither have i seen anything or looked into it.

Looking forward to this more then COD or BF3. I pre-ordered BF3 but wish I hadn't now.

I bought the original on a Steam sale and played it for about 20min. I spent the whole time running towards a bridge underpass or something and got shot and respawned every 30 seconds or so. The same thing seemed to happen to everyone else too, on both teams. Did I just join a crappy server or is that usually what you guys enjoy about RO?

PhatFreD, depending on the game settings, if you just run towards the enemy, you will not survive very long, and need to wait for the next spawn wave. This can take a bit if you have managed to die very quickly.

Its not a run and gun game like many other FPS games. RO rewards teamplay, and small squad tactics much more than other FPS games.

Some game types are very fast respawn, others have a longer wait, depending on the server settings.

The old guard RO players will more likely have servers set on high realism settings. Given that the game now caters more for run and gun, there may be servers out there that cater for people who enjoy this game type, but I believe that they are more likely to go for the existing franchises that play that way.
