Well I was a fan back in 2003 or whenever the originals came out. I have now idea what it will be like now a decade later though. This game invented the "bullet time" that we have seen in F.E.A.R among others.

this is a smarter, more mature Max Payne with plenty of nods and throwbacks to the series' past without being just another entry

Rockstar was kind enough to let us know that they've begun a new video series covering the arsenal available to our favorite (former?) scrunchy face badass Max Payne, in Max Payne 3. The first in the series is a hard hitting hand cannon called the 608 Bull Revolver, which you can scope out in the embed below. We're also told that new screenshots, along with a 360 render of the 608 Bull Revolver itself, and some intel on the Comando Sombra gang can be seen at the recently updated Max Payne 3 website.

Max Payne 3 is "not a port" of the console versions of the game, Rockstar has asserted, revealing that it has been built from the ground up for the PC platform to "run beautifully straight out of the box".

Rockstar has released a new "Design & Technology" video for Max Payne 3, this time showing off how they've enhanced bullet time. Animations are also covered quite a bit, as both Max and his foes react much more realistically to changes in movement, and even bullet impacts. Get your trigger finger ready because Max Payne 3 launches May 15th.
