Hmm, I dunno, after spending a goodly chuck of cash on D3 only to get bored of the sp game in 2 hours AND to discover that the online play is less then stealler I am less inclined to get the expansion pack needed to play on these servers. Did the expansion add a lot to the multiplayer experience?

The expansion pack bought with it the 'Classic Capture The Flag' gametype and the double-barrel shotgun

Also some custom maps have enabled the gravity gun to be used.


Well worth the buy in my opinion

Yes but how many players on a server?? When there was only a max of 4 players, it sort of took the interest away from playing multiplayer for me.

LOL yes I can't imagine anyone who likes the BF style of gameplay liking the D3 style of gameplay.

You're correct mate, 4 max for DeathMatch and Team DeathMatch. 1 v 1 for tourney (2 spectate... the winner stays in and fights the next spectator in line) and 4 max for Last Man Standing (DM with limited lives).

Capture The Flag (came with the RoE expansion) can have up to 8 players.

There are mods that allow up to 32 players.


I like the 2 v 2 TDM. You stick with your team mate always aware of crossfire and flanking... that with the D3 atmosphere makes for some high tension matches (best with the RealDamage mod)


The Last Man Standing Coop mod is a lot of fun with a couple of mates
Rather chaotic at times... have to be careful on my server as friendly fire is on 8O
