War of the Roses
 

Not really sure if this is the right forum for this but over the last week I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about War of the Roses which is due for release later in the year.

It is a first-person hack and slash game (so not a shooter) set in the middle ages. The game is designed and built for multiplayer but will have a short single player campaign.

Sounding a lot like Mount and Blade? Yes, to the degree that CoD is like Battlefield I guess. But all the decisions have been made to create a multiplayer experience where M&B was first a single-player game.

I heard they were soon going to be introducing clan and squad tournament modes and this got me thinking it could be good to have a TOG squad at some point.

Level-ups are subtle and for each benefit there comes a penalty. Eg. Get better armour and it will be heavier so you will be slower.
