Since the expansion for BF2 was planned before the game (to arrive before Xmas), I highly suspect that EA (the new DICE owner) wanted the game to be rushed in order to keep the delay.

I liked BF42, but after playing few mods I couldn't stand the vanilla version anymore (way too much base camping).

Played them all - but BF2 is my fav.

I liked the choppers in BF:V more, but the sniping in bf2 is better (for me anyway).

If anyone wants a copt of BF:V - mine is for sale.

Just a few questions to the Battlefield die-hards:
*) What can I expect? (I am too lazy to trawl through the BF42/V forums)
*) Your thoughts on the BF series?
*) Which BF game has given you the most satisfaction?
BF2 hands down I have just had it with world war 2 games the wepons dont impress me any more the MOD to 1942 was good but BF2 just has more to offer and I like the fact that you can talk to other players not type.

Nope I think the BF2 sniper rifles are way better, I've certainly been on the recieving end of the BF2 versions way more than the BFv ones, but ultimately the DC Barrett .50cal was the owner of all and sundry when you talk about snipey snipey

Cheers

dude its a game not the real world .the reason the sniper rifles are better in bfv is that you can pin point the target with the dot and kill every time ,not so in bf2 as even the thickness of the retical lines will mean hit or miss

The DC Barrett was absolutely the best sniper rifle. Dead-on accurate and it didn't matter where you hit the target. Ankle shot: dead. Arm shot: dead. They practically took damage from fright with near misses.

It was the Barrett in the Desert Combat mod for BF1942. You couldn't get one in the kits originally, one or two would be at each main base on the ground where you could pick them up. Nasty weapons. Semi-auto too.
