Been really busy this past few weeks but when I do I am enjoying WarZ like I did with DayZ in the summer. They are knocking the bugs out and will be wiping inventory and refunding the points back into people's account so that its at a clean slate for beta. Below is the link. Any news if a clan will start up for TOG I would be interested in diving into.

Had my first blat on this last night as a guest. It's good. It captures the tension that is present in DayZ very well, without royally shafting you with what could easily be mistaken as an intentional contender for the most terrible inventory system ever.

So yeah, great tension, looting goodness, other players of the good, bad and ugly varieties. Graphics look nice, sound is... serviceable. Animations are pretty basic but I'm there for the gameplay. And the inventory management is a dream after playing DayZ.

Just a word of advice for other newbies. I don't think body hits with a melee weapon do much to zombies. I wailed on the first one I met with a baseball bat for a good two minutes. Blood and gore was splattered all over the show but she was still chasing me around screeching like a banshee. It wasn't til I asked on chat and was advised to aim above their heads that I was able to down her.

I struggled with that too. You have to enter the email address the person who was provided the guest pass used to sign up to WarZ.

So you put in the email address of the person that bought the game, followed by your guest pass. Then you will have to set up your own account.

Yah the zombies here follow the rules of Romero's zombie which only head shots or melee hits to the head is the only way to kill them. Body shots of any kind only make them stumble or slow down.

I'll be online with it in and out throughout the weekend (Got back into Skyrim and enjoying it) so I will jump in TS chat if anyone wants to hunt some zebs or people for bags of chips.

I am a pathetic and weak-willed creature! I folded and bought the survivor pack. What's $25, even if it's terrible? Geng and Justin Kace double teamed me (that's not a euphemism for a sex act). While I was at my lowest, enjoying a game of Planetside 2 on the new Aussie server, they relentlessly badgered me and told me how much freakin' fun this game is. One more thing to occupy my time

I downloaded it and played for a bit tonight. First impression, generally good. It's like a prettier, more user friendly DayZ. It's clear that there is still a long way to go but I'm liking what I'm seeing. I died pretty easily though, it seems like every person I came across who had a gun (I didn't) just killed me straight up. I finally met up with another survivor, also unarmed, in a building and two seconds later some random ran in and killed us both. I need to learn what I can and can't do around zombies in order to avoid making them aggro, that's all part of the learning curve I guess. Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting on with some Toggers...

Yeah the status quo seems to be 'see someone, shoot them'. I don't play like that so I tend to die a lot, but it's expected and therefore doesn't disappoint too much.

I really like the global inventory system, where if you get a loaded survivor back to a safe zone and log out, you can shuffle as much of their inventory as you like into a global pool that all your characters can access from the safe zones.

The global inventory system sounds good, if only I could live long enough to use it. I even got killed by a guy with a torch today...wtf? Seems pointless, all he's going to get off of me is a bottle of water
