Cool
Default BF-1942 texture problems with ATI card?

I've been having problems with my Radeon recently (flickery textures).

According to the 'fixed in this driver' notes, ATI have addressed texture corruption in catalyst drivers version 4.3.

http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/w...=11&submit.y=9

I'll give it a go when I get time to swap cards around, and let you know.

Yes same probs here, though it only appears on certain maps
I haven't installed the latest drivers as mentioned by GD as the last time I did the update, I was plagued by other probs ie: textures appearing stetched from the horizon to my reticule . I think I will tweak with the ingame settings first.

I've only recently in the last few weeks gone from my old Ti4200 to a nice new shiney red 9600XT and all of my old "crash back to desktop" drama's have vanished!!!! I've tried cat drivers from 3.7 through to the latest 4.4 and they all run fine, no texture probs or dissapearing walls and stuff. All in all I'm happy with this new little ATI bitch!!!!

I get the odd issue at long range - when sniping tc, but other than that it is fine.

you could try the newest Omega driver! didn't notice much diff in BF1942/DC but in Far Cry it seems to run a bit smoother.

ATI and EA say all issues are fixed with ATI cards by turning off AA and AF.
