I TAKE IT BACK !! I TAKE IT BACK!!!
I was in the MiG 17 earlier on.... the MiG 21 handles like an absolute BEAUTY! I love it. So far: Air Stuff: Corsair - pretty good, but I fly it wishing I was in a Phantom Phantom - superb! Mig-21 - superb! Mig-17 - bit heavy Huey - kicks bottom! Ground stuff: Great atmosphere, great graphics. Strategically, this game will be ENTIRELY different to BF:1942.

Runs great for me. Little bit slower than 42 but not too much slower. Its slower in single player than muliplay, I guess from the bots.

ha ha ho he ha ha ho he ho ha ha....oh Gods....I seem to remember Pizza Hut giving them away with 2 large pizzas, 2 or 3 years back. I never got to play BFV online, by the time I got broadband my disc had gone AWOL. I played heaps of co-op LAN games with 3-5 other people and I loved every minute of it! IR guided AAM's that really track! Bots that HUNT you, jungle maps where you can't see the enemy until you stand on them most of the time, spraying area fire back at muzzle-flashes & fleeting shadows, tape decks in vehicles you could drop your own MP3's into! - Yeah, I always play Wagner. It scares the hell outa the gooks, and the boys love it!
Does it still get played online? What went wrong? Surely it wasn't that much of a dog? OK, it did run a bit chunky sometimes, but so did Secret Weapons on the computer I was using at the time (1.8 Gigacycle P4 133fsb, 512MB SDRAM, 64 MB Nvidia graphics card). If I still had the disc I'd have it installed on the machine I got now - It'd run sweeeet. Oh well, I 'spose I'll see one in a bargain basement bin somewhere, or I can wait a bit and download it for five bucks. $99! do you feel ripped off? I would. |

now this is an epic thread-bump
march-2004 to jan-2009 believe it or not Uncle Guido, game prices generally go down over time $99 was a fair price at the time it was bought

Never really got into it. About the only thing that I really liked about it was the mod Point Of Existence - brilliantly innovative for it's day. POE2 is still being played in BF2 these days, but sadly not as much as it deserves.
I never really liked the Vietnam era for war games, so that's probably the main reason for me not liking it - just didn't seem to take. I did like the radio's though, and the helo's - but I was a Desert Combat player from way back, and for me, it was still a better game than BF:V ever was.
