I downloaded this addon (ver 2.16) from filefront the other day, but didn't realize there were 2 patches for it. Filefront has since removed them due to a copyright issue with the bump maps. Has anyone downloaded the 2 patches, 2.17 hotfix and 2.18, recently? I am curious to know if the patches make the full mod any better in graphics or performance.

Hey T6, click that linky again, and you will see that FF and Ogg are co-crediting and a pack has been released with the eyecandy thingys

BTW WTF is it? A mod? maps? just skins? I don't quite "get it" can you link me to a description of what FF does?

Kick ass! Essentially, all the textures in the game have been increased dramatically, weapon sounds & damage have been reworked, & replaces the music with an orchestra. You can disable whatever you want instead of having to reinstall the game if something doesn't pique your interest.

I personally enjoy it as the Glock pistol (as opposed to the .357) can take down enemies with 1 headshot.

that's strange. I just tried it again and it worked fine. Alternatively, you can search google for Fakefactory half life 2 Hires cinematic textures. Probably the best place to download from would be filefront.
