Far Cry & Chron. of Riddick

After seeing the countdown videos for Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, I decided to reinstall Far Cry because of it's gorgeous environment detail. Since my computer is a bit beefier now, I bumped the texture levels. WOW, the terrain vegetation looked so lifelike that I could almost feel the weeds as I brushed by them and the heat from the sun beading down on me. The water made me wish I was at the beach and not stuck in a office all day.. lol

I was planning to buy Chronicles of Riddick. I heard it is what Doom 3 should have been. Anyone played this and recommend it? I played the demo a while back, but it ran like crapola.

Heard mixed to poor reviews on it but I've not tried it myself.

Figure I'll spend the $20 and give it a try. Screenshots look nice.

Riddick looks fantastic. but it's only 80% finished.
it has some truelly noice effects and environments. Very impressive for opengl. however there's lots of AI quirks and it was obviously rushed to market.
