Default BF:V server question

Hi fellas, I played BF:V for the first time last weekend at the Brisbane cafe LAN that Fox organised (thanks again mate ) and i'm thinking of buying it. One question though... I didn't like the way you could see the opposite team icons when your crosshair was over them. If I add this game to my game server, can this be disabled?? If yes then what is the command?

Thanks

Hey Ned,

Do you mean the names above there head, if so then its a server setting and most of the GA servers have it set to a very low distance which means you need to be close to see the name.

If its set to a long distance then it ruins the game because its impossible to hide without your name standing out like you know what.

If you run a dedicated server, there is something called tag distance.

GameArena use about 15 mtrs I think. This lets you identify the buddies around you but you can't see the enemy at the normal combat ranges of ~35 -> 70 metres.

If you play in Single player mode against bots, you can do that too but I think you need some tricky console commands.

So to answer your question - yes - you can turn it off and most ppl prefer it turned off so GA does exactly that.

Glad you liked it and hope to have you on board.

Sheez, its dogs balls or nuggets for those politically correct ones. Get it right

Yeah all BF games are like that, it sucks. At least in BF:V they turn it off on a few servers and in ladder matches/Wars.
