Drac let me know how you went as my son picked his up at 7pm this afternoon. After a 6GB install (ouch) the game started fine and plays fine.
Our problem at present is the update. They appear to have posted one but we can't get past 20% download. Have you installed and updated the installation as yet??

Got the patch this morning after they did a minor fix to the download network.
After installation and patch it now hits 6GB install. Hope you guys have upgraded your harddrives.

The install was kinda slow, didn't check the size, still has heaps of room left, and I've got around 30GB of promo/gameplay vidoes on it, I've just been too lazy to delete em.
I like the game, but I'm finding it rather difficult. I've never been great at driving games, but there's no difficulty level in this and you need to clear all the Class C events before you can do the Class B, and class Class B before you can do Class A. Also, you need to clear all events in Classes A B & C before you can unlock the abilty to tune up the cars which kinda sucks. My main saving grace in past GT games was that I could simply tune my car better than what the AI had and make up for my lack of actual driving skill. Kinda sucks that I can't do that here and they no longer have the AI Speed settings like the previous prolouge game. I'll keep grinding at it, but I'm a little dissapointed, it really does feel a bit like I'm grinding away at an MMO here.

My Missus got it for me Yesterday, the update took 4 cracks at downloading till I eventually got it! Passed C class and falfway through B class now with a nice Nissan GT-R... Actually used that one for the last race in C class. that was funny in itself
I am quite enjoying it atm and graphics are awesome. Love incar cockpit, its about time they did that. Have not tried online yet but I hear its virtually lag free so may check it out later tonight, first I think I need to find a nice fast car, $250K for the Blitz R34 would be nice.... better start racing and saving ha ha |

My son has finished C, B and A classes not all gold. He's currently doing S class but it would appear a bug might be in the game.
It would appear to be imposible to do the time trials without a tuned car but you can't tune a car for the time trials. Plenty of people are complaining on the whirlpool forum about it. Wish you luck with it.

ha ha Cadder, nah not missed anything. Just a bit of fun and racing. I hear dick smith powerhouse has it for around $45 or something like that, under a fity though, so half a game = half price
i dont think the full GT5 will be out till next year anyway so least you get some cars and cash up ready for the big one ![]()
