Default Backing in about a month

I'll be up for backing this in about a month. Currently looking at the Bounty Hunter option.

Any advice before diving in ?

In my opinion your basic options:

Exploration & lite trade: Freelancer (probably the most versatile ship)

Dogfight, PvP & support: 300i series to keep your options open or 325a for PvP ready

Serious PvP & piracy : Cutlass

Serious organised trade in group: Constellation

Ships List: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ship-specs

Wence out

EDIT: And if you want to support SC & have your options open: Digital Freelancer with extra 300i ( i.e. $110+$55 if using paypal & original backer cost).Bearing in mind that both games will cost 2x$60 it is still quite good deal I think...

More sinister and costly all PvP option would be Pirate Pack ($100) + Hornet ($110).

Cost sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...EaEFaWHc#gid=0

Would love the Conie but am going to work on getting the Freelancer to start with. At the very least if plans turn to custard I'll go with the bounty Hunter pack

Don't worry about Connie - we have in TOG fleet so many of them that you will be begged to help out the lucky owners to man it

1) keynotes-from-live-stream-28-jun/p1

2) This coming week the Hangar Module releases, don't forget.

3) We are expecting the updated and Variant types brochures of 3 Spacecrafts, The Constellation, The Freelancer, and The Hornet. Be prepared for some sweet mindbending which comes to no 4

4) Ship Specs
is your best fleet planner.

In my view the Best and Ugliest Dogfighter is the Hornet.
The 325a Fighter/Interceptor comes second but more of a well rounded ship too, pretty too.
The 315p for short exploration and Courier.
Freelancer for longrange exploration and small trade
Constellation is the Jack of All trades ship, but remember these ships are master of none. Although it's the utmost Explorer, Space Superiority Ship, and with a larger trade capacity in hostile space.
The Starfarer is the Best looking Space truck ever, that may fuel your economy to built a viable long fleet.
The Retaliator is the long range Bomber that will turn the tide in battle if manned enough.
The Aurora and presumably the Avenger are the Starter Ships, some say the Avenger is a bit of an upgrade from the Aurora, but if you check the Aurora already has it's variants.

SO, when you ride out to, let's say, you buy the A ship to do this role, then you would like to fund and support this role, then you either come in the need of buying a trade or race or fuel ship to fund your main ship activity.
In other words you will eventually get into a small fleet you see most of us already have, and then you will undestand why we got sucked into as well.
I started with a Constellation only....for example. Cheers

You can still get LTI can't you?

If you buy the 5k option? Is that the biggest?

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/s...ce-marshal-lti

How does that compare to those who backed early?

Is that LTI on all ships purchased even those not in that pack?

G'day,

You can still get LTI if you are an Original or Veteran Backer....or if you either gift the package to such a person or PayPal them the funds to get it for you...but only until the cutoff date around mid to late November this year.

You may also wish to consider the whole RSI Concierge Status perk that unlocks when a person spends $1k on their account to see if that perk would interest you...and how that $1k is calculated. Basically the person who buys the item gets the value of that item credited towards their $1k Concierge status. It is the person who spends the Real world cash or Paypal funds to buy the item that gets credited.

If anyone who doesn't have access to LTI wants to get it they may wish to check out this TOG thread: http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/...-want-lti.html

The $5k Space Marshal package only has the 5 original pledge ships (not the variants of them) and an Idris-P Corvette. All of these 6 ships being part of the package come with LTI. Other ships not listed in the package do not have LTI though unless you organise that seperately.

The $5k Space Marshall package is the 2nd largest single package still available. There is a $10k Wing Commander package which includes all five pledge ships, a custom Constellation skin, 20,000 UEC Starting Money and exclusive access to the 1 Million Mile High Club, a private facility that you run in the game.

Regards,
B
