This may not be everyone's cup of tea but it cannot be denied that The Sims was a huge success albeit a little buggy.
Scheduled for release Feb 2004 is The Sims 2. For anyone that is interested, or maybe their better halves have a look at these cool videos:List of Sims 2 movie trailers Really good Sims 2 trailer |

I actually bought the first one, I always enjoyed games like Sim City when I had time for SP games, so I thought I would have liked the sims.
Now only the best SP games I make time for. The Sims however didn't grab me for some reason, I gave it a few goes but wasn't my thing I suppose.

My woman plays it.
Since beginning I had no interest in it whatsover. It is amusing now and then to look over her shoulder and see whats happening. Best time was when a guy went and poked his fireplace. Flames then lept out and consumed him. He stood there screaming for about 30 secs while the rest of his family & friends casually walked round the rest of the house. Then I think his wife found him. She stood there screaming. He eventually fell and died (stopped screaming), she continued. Fire people came. Wife started to sob. I wouldn't be able to play this game anyway, I'd torture em. Do the walling in trick to em once a day (save em just before death). Any friends that come round I'd wall in in the lounge room. Just see what algorithms are around to deal with that, how crazy a sim can go. |
