I've been looking into it but the reviews have not been favorable.

pcgr.com has got many negative user reviews. I would have nothing to compare it with as I have never played any MMORPG.

I think it is actually quite a good introduction for new players. For more experienced MMORPGers it does not have the huge amount of things to do that other established games do.

With this in mind though, the game is only three months old and these types of games get considerably better as times goes on and updates are made. This is particularly true of Asherons Call as an update is made, with new content, each month.

If you would like to try out what this type of game experience is like then AC2 is a good place to start as it is fairly simple. I have been playing the game since late December (I got the game form eBay) and still enjoy it. This is really only a holding action though until the release of Star Wars Galaxy.

Just keep in mind that MMORPG's are not for everyone. They take up a lot of time and there is a monthly fee (as the game is online only).

Essentially, I you really liked the aspect of advanceing in level and getting stronger in games like Baldurs Gate and NWN then you'll love these games otherwise they may not be for you ...
