I am going to pick this up too, really looking forward to playing it but I just bought Eschelon:book 1 and I really need to finish up a bunch of other games that I have on the go before I start anything new.

SOme of you may find this modification of interest - 1eyedking's Complete Original Script (subtitles AND journal!)

For those not familiar with the background on the different translations, the English translation is a cut down version of the original Polish script in the game. This mod adds a bit back. If you scroll down in the linked post there is some examples of the differences.

I Suggest skimming thru/reading the post before applying

Any of you happen to have played Gothic? (Just read the review that was linked back a few posts, and it mentions Gothic, heh. Who knew?)

I found the first and second of those to be superb RPG games. You played the role of a character, you didn't select facial traits and all the stuff like Oblivion and such, but the story was outstanding. The second was as good or better than the first.

The third sucked.

Anyway, just thinkin about picking this one up, if I can, and noticed no one mentioned what, to me, is one of the best RPGs of all time. Some may argue that it is an action/RPG, but it still has a great story and characters. That is what was missing in Oblivion for me.

Sorry, just a mini-hi-jack.

It's a slow thread anyway mate ...

Anyone having any issues with crashing? I've read a lot of posts saying from Act III onwards it's pretty buggy. I'm currently in Act II ...

Yeah it crashes alot, just save after completing objectives, I heard they are working on the crash thing for the next patch, although a pita, the game is good enough to put up with it.

Thanks for the replies here thats prompted me to try out the (IMHO less than flattering) demo of a game that would otherwise have passed under my radar. Settling down into what's to be a very enjoyable game for the coming months.

Just picked this up last night along with IL-2 Sturmovik. (I can't even get off the ground.)

Having played for 20 minutes, I can see myself being sucked into this one pretty badly. If the story is half as good as the intro movie, I think I have a winner.

Thanks for the tip, as Crusad3r said, it would have passed me by for sure.
