Planetside?
I think I saw a few posts about people looking at playing Planetside. Maybe not. Anyway the open beta invites are being sent out and my wife got one. The NDA just got lifted as well today. It should be interesting to see.

Yeah keep us posted on this one, I like the concept of it all, not sure about the gameplay setting.
I looks a bit futuristic to me, if it plays like Unreal Tournament I probably will give it a miss. If it turns out to be the best "teamplay focused" FPS around, I couldn't care whether it's futuristic or not. It's gonna have to be something special alright considering it will have a monthly fee.

The best teamplay focused FPS around is Tanarus. Except your in a tank. This game is so simple but has a nice degree of teamplay and strategy that makes you keep coming back for more. I played it for 3 years and just quit now. It is an ancestor of Planetside and hopefully they can capture the balance and teamwork that is required in that classic.

It "was" and still is
 It's a SOE game and is a pay per month as well. It's $6.95 US for that and 2 other old games that SOE has. It's old, the 3d graphics are first generation and it has no support; but for teamplay it can't be beat.
