Yeah I dont mind racing games, haven't got that particular one, I got a rally game, rallisport challenge which was done by digital illusions, same mob as BF.
I have Porsche Unleashed which is a few years old now but still a great racing game. I would lik to try a racing game in MP for a change. But unless you got a full team of ppl on the track its not gonna be much fun I suppose. And then who has the bandwith?

I got caught up in the hype surrounding V8 challenge last year and bought it on its day of release - major disapointment. This time around I will wait for positive news before committing.
Other favorites from the past include a Formula 1 game on the amiga, Colin Mcrae rally 2 and f12000. |

GP2 and now GP4 are my fav's.
![]() Got a copy of V8 Challenge but never really played it much. Btw, if you're interested there is a comp on CyberShackOnline.com to win a copy of V8 Supercars ... check it out at http://www.cybershackonline.com/game...ter.asp?id=109 (closes 4th May). |

I found a review at gamespot (this is the international edition, not the v8's) which gave it 7.1/10 and didnt comment on the multiplayer side.

The game V8 Supercars Racedriver is made by Codemasters, the same people who made the CMR series and the TOCA series if you remember that far back. All of these were goodish games.
As for the original question, I have not used this one yet, but would be interested if it is any good. Gazz

I bought this (pc version) soon after release and after spending an evening ripping my hair out have not touched it since.
The steering code is a nightmare. The wheel setup menu is quite good but on the track it is horrid. The sensitivity is very non-linear and responds completely out of sync with the wheel movement. Choosing arcade helps but only because the game seems to help steer for you. A 2nd patch is due. I hope it fixes the game as it has the best sound I have heard in any racing sim. |
