Try the old exit Steam, delete steam\clientregistry.blob, restart Steam cure-all ...

After doing that it says it's at 99% but it still doesn't download anything and I still get the same error when launching it

EDIT: Never mind. I found that to get it to work I had to delete the bioshock .ncf files from the SteamApps directory.

Shame I'd deleted all the other content before discovering those. Oh well, a few Gb down the drain. Hopefully it'll work this time.

I pre-ordered the 360 version from gameplay.co.uk a couple of weeks ago. It was dispatched yesterday so it may be at home waiting for me or else it will arrive tomorrow.

Widescreen 3rd party utill Fix thingy.

Widescreen Gaming Forum :: View topic - Bioshock ... widescreen or not as the case may be ...

After spending overa day on the built in WS settings and feeling like it was way to tight, with my head about 2 foot in front of my body, this really makes it feel sooooo much better.

I just had a Steam update that removed the stupid 2 install limit from the game, glad they saw sense on this, lets hope they do it for the retail version too.

Damn DVD Crave didn't get their stock in yesterday, only came in today which means I won't get my copy until Monday.

I'm so depressed. :P

Still... I did get the CE despite having left my pre-order a little late so I should be thankful for small mercies.

Default Showing off 3 monitor goodness...

OK, my setup is a TripleHead2Go using three 22" widescreen 1680x1050 Chimei 5ms response time monitors.

I'm using Racer_S's FOV Hack for Bioshock. Width FOV = 0.2, Height FOV = 0.18. (These settings are weird because my monitors stretch the Triple Head 2 Go image a little, but this awesome mod allows me to shrink a little extra to counter the effect).

Yes the sides seem kinda stretched but those monitors are in my peripheral vision anyways, it looks very natural and immersive...

My comp specs: AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 1024 MB DDR-SDRAM, GeForce 7800GS AGP.

The first screenshot shows my graphics setting in the game.

Framerate is low but I find it very playable? If I put it in 2400x600 with all settings on, smoother but looks much worse.

In-game screenshots:

(this image hoster isn't good, it's shrinking them down, I'll look for something else)
