I think I'll dream about that game tonight, I have never seen a more realistic gaming engine.

I downloaded the 25 minute high res movie from fileplanet today
(free if you are on iiNet victoria via ausgamers

)

And I am absolutely impressed, it just looks unbelievable, the movie starts with showing the technologies that the engine allows for and then a lot of in game footage. The most amazing details you wouldn't even begin to expect are incorporated, the environment is so real and everything reacts perfectly to impacts light etc.
And best of all the engine actually has large outdoor areas and even vehicles were driven.
And imo outdoor area's are important in a good FPS!

Looking at the Doom III trailer, I just went, nice gfx, same shooter as all the other ones.

If you got some spare cap this is a worthy download!
Considering that the HL2 engine is available to developers already I can foresee a bright future for FPS gaming.

Hey Father, could you cut us a CD? I don't think I'm going to make it to the end of the month with any usage left (damn SWG patches ...)

I'm trying to d/l it from GA now but since there are currently 130/128 ppl sownloading I seem to be having some problems at gaining access atm.

After a review like that though I will make sure I keep trying until I get it.
