GFWL is circling the drain at the moment, it is due to be scrapped next July and I don't think we will be seeing any new games infected with it before then. Quite a lot of publishers are patching it out of existing titles already .

Titanfall will most likely be an Origin title, so its not all good news.

My experience was frequent authentication problems with mysterious error codes that didn't help solve anything. microtransaction system that many times would not work accept card numbers etc and a generally clunky interface. I think with was designed to integrate the PC multiplayer and XBOX live services (authentication, commerce and what have you) but appears to have not done so well compared to other services like this. With the release of XONE I think the've just re-thought the whole approach.

I have games that use GFWL and have no problems with them and then some games are horrible with it. May just depend on the developers implementation. That's from a user's point of view. I have no idea what developers think of it but it can't be good compared to steamworks and whatever Orgin's equivalent is.
