I was looking forward to it, but after Peter said at E3 the game went gold 2 days ago, then one of his team at another game show 3 weeks later said we just went gold 2 days ago, then they say 2 weeks ago the multi player isnt in the game. I fell like its Fable 1 all over again with all these features being hyped up to be pulled out, after it went gold?
Once again i feel ripped of by Fable

Ok i have had my cry i know once it comes out and you all start posting how good it is i will get it. So i guess i just hope they release the multi player as a DL real fast

G4 announced last week that multiplayer will be in with a patch on launch day:

Great so you take it home and .... wait for the download to finish.

I am starting to get real tired of games coming out not finished. I think Adam from G4 gives an interesting perspective on this "growing trend".

Sessler's Soapbox: Finish Them!!! Videos - G4tv.com

I for one will be giving this game a miss unless some earth shattering news from you guys convinces me to reconsider it.

I've been waiting for this even before they announced Fable 2.

The first one is probably one of my favorite games of all time.

Fable 2. - A fun little game.

A little bit unfinished, as they could have first beta tested it better, but still a lot of fun. WOW was ridiculously buggy on launch days, they say... this is not ridiculously buggy, there's just insane amounts of small bugs, and the game has not crashed even once, and I never had to fully begin a quest again.

Black-and-white moral system is fun too. And fits a fairy tale, that Fable 2 actually is. Morphing characters are something I like very much, the environment isn't so responsive to player activities as was claimed pre launch, but there's still lots of dynamic content.

I've now played the main story line once through, and the game did not end there. Still lots to do.

What really rescues this game, - it's the tongue-in-cheek-humour. Well, I like black humour, and irony.

Then at first I felt the moral decisions in this game are something like ethics education for minors of something like that, but it's not so simple. it's actually fun to build an evil character. Have to create a good one too, later. A so good character, that it must be a walking joke.

Multiplayer seems to be the most obscure system I've ever seen. If I got it right people can't take their characters abilities and equipment to the co-op multiplayer system, and that's really sad, because those abilities, customized gear, etc really makes ones character unique.

Fighting is fun, intuitive, easy, yet developing dynamically and slowly becoming more advanced. Sometimes there are frustrating glitches when trying to interact with some objects, but one can work around those.

There's lots of effort put on this game, developing it must have been some serious work. Somehow it's an unique game, there's even some good level design, and after the minuscule but well numbered bugs are patched, this game must be the ultimate playground for DLC-packs.

So I think this is only the beginning. It's just the matter, if it's worth buying before some patches come out, I guess it is, the game is fun and even a bit original, but might be a lot better game after some semi-serious patching.

Thanks for the info Zaxvien.

I did actually pick up a copy of this games as it was $79 Aus for the collectors edition at JB HiFi. It appears that when I walk into this store all my reason and logical thinking fly out the window, as I only went in there to pick up Farcry 2.

Anyway after I walked out with Farcry 2 .... and Fable II ... and Dead Space ... and the Dead Space Blue ray movie ...

Damn I hate that place! As soon as I walk in voices start in my head:

Example:

Voice: "Get Fable II as well mate!"
Me: Nah I am not really interested in that game"
Voice: "But it's a good game for your kid, not as violent as Farcry!"
Me: "Nah, he has plenty of games"
Voice: "But all your friends are getting it!"
Me: "Yeah maybe .... NO I don't want it!"
Voice: "But look dude it's only $79 for the collectors edition ... what a bargain!"
Me: "Oooohhhh Thats a good Price!"

I pick up the game only to hear ...

Voice: "Oh look Dead Space for only $79. You know there is a cool animated Blue ray for that right?"
Me: "Sigh"
