I read through a lot of this and it sounds nice.
Nowadays it seems like people making games don't need to hire testers anymore. Just sell early access, and get testers to pay to test. It's an easy revenue. Call them pledges...
There have certainly been some changes to the way some games are developed in the last 5 years. It's nice to be able to support projects that wouldn't normally see the light of day.
I think it has an advantage. It allows for a wider range of knowledge when it comes to testing. Making for less bugs down the road...hopefully maybe...
