RIFT Live Client Released

Warbear_nG | 23 February 2011 | 1 Comment

In a massively anticipated email and posting storm across the internet, TRION have started sending client download codes, access information and release notes.  Frantically many keen people are firing up laptops at work, or PCs at home and starting the process of uninstalling the beta client, and installing the live client, myself included in that list.  As I sit here I am downloading at 200KB/s so will have it done in the morning.  Though I still will have to wait to actually play the game, I don’t mind.

Trion have also got access to headstart still available if you purchase in the next 24 hours, so hop to it if you are planning on playing.

Yeah!!!
Started the download and its gonna be 3-4 hours at about 6oo kps for a total of 8.21GB. Yikes!  (Update) Started and got around 7GB,then lost power, but after a slow recoup,it finished in about 3 1/2 hours. Then had to be patched again a few hours later. I would try to log on several times if you can to make sure you have all the patches.Hope it goes well for all. Hope to see you in game.
