Why does that fight sound like a pinball machine?

I hope they will change some of the sounds during their "Westernization" process.

There was one in Aion where you hear female characters say(phonetically) "sitting and piss":p

Yeah so far there has been no "beta" testing as such, but "Focus groups" instead, testing a particular aspect of the game. Sounds hasn't come into it yet and I expect will change a lot.
I personally am impressed that they are developing the westernized version at this relatively early stage, hopefully it means international patch dates and a far more integrated and thorough westernized edition of the game.

    What's your point? ;):p

So the combat is more "Action/FPS" Style? I wonder how that's going to work in Oz with the usual 500ms+ lag.

The same as Global Agenda at a guess, which is bearable most of the time unless I get throttled internationally - which Telecom makes a habit of doing on occasion in NZ...

That's a bit of a concern for me too as I have between 275ms-350ms when everything works fine. There's no difference whether I play on EU or US from Mauritius.

But I always play on Eu due to timezone :)

The more I see Tera the more I keep thinking "Mortal Kombat MMO" It looks like it is going to be a twitch based combat fighting system with the focus being on action battles, I reckon low ping, high end PC will be a must for this game.

I reckon if I can get under 300ms I'll be fine - as long as there are no lag spikes. Probably the usual case of needing a Proxy to make it playable, but I am happy doing that as long as it works.
This is one of the few games that has actually caught my interest, and DDO recently confirmed I really enjoy the fps-style targeting system.

I am looking at an PvP type server, though what sort (Open, Area based etc) will depend on exact limitations of the server types as to which I choose. Nothing concrete released about that yet.

    Recruitment Threads

I've put a couple of Guild Recruitment threads up on terafans.com and the official forums to get people aware that TOG are going to be playing this (well, I am at least :p ), and perhaps get a few people looking for a community like this that haven't heard of us yet :)

Another interesting tidbit: It sounds like the game will be hand-controller compatible.

I think this is great news, as my gaming rig sits in my bedroom, and am about to get an LCD TV and hang on the wall opposite my bed to play movies to... and now it sounds like play Tera on also! I'm gong to investigate Wireless controllers just in case, probably XBox type ones though I rememember seeing on with a full keyboard underneath your fingertips on the bottom that looked interesting.

Suppose I'd better wait and make sure... but any excuse to buy more gadgets :D

Because Frogster has a very bad customer support and that's from what I experienced from them.

I didn't see one positive comment on the official forum either about this decision. And it smells like "deja vu" remember when Mythic announces that GOA will be responsible for WAR EU? :( I'm seeing the same reaction here.
