GamersFirst publisher purchases APB - Massively Gamersfirst have purchased APB and may have it up and running again by the end of the year. Theres also a strong likelyhood that itll be ftp (with mt). Full story here (requires sign up).
yeah, ive heard about it and then i read about it. Sounds good to me if it does happen that way. The game itself isnt acutally to bad to play, and for one if it does come back up im just be jumping straight back into it if i do not have to re-buy it.
I nearly tried APB but just as i was on the fence it went under. Interesting to hear that it may start up again though. By the sounds of things it deserves better then to just fade away so quickly after release.
Yeah it was a shame about TR, not only was it the easiest GL position i ever had i really enjoyed that game, it had plenty of content, was solo friendly and quite different from the usual MMO's i ever played. I actually left the game a short time before it closed down but always planned on making a return. Of course it could never happen after the close down. A real shame that some games meet this type of end. Another one was the Matrix Online.

I played the Beta, it is quite fun for sure. It didn't stick out as something that compelled me to keep playing though - I am quite discerning with my time these days though
I was invited to the beta, but couldn't sign up. They wanted my mobile phone number and provider. Both of which i will not give out.
They did? hmm odd I don't remember. I may have put an old number, not likely for me to give that out.
Any TOGers playing on the EU servers? I've played the OB a year ago and didn't like it, but this new version is much better. Combat is tighter, the guys with the gun version yours+1 will not totally pwn you, the cars handle much better. I created a new account and nobody asked for my cell number or anything, just a verifiable e-mail. I am playing on EU1 with the cops as "neofit", on EU2 as a bad guy named "ese" (I can' believe the name wasn't taken . A few hours in and I am still having fun. I am not sure about the longevity though, this is not Arma, and with only 2 districts it may become stale soon.
