Archeage (AA) has changed so much since launch that many guides and tools you'll find on the net are no longer accurate. Fortunately, with the launch of ArcheAge:Unchained (AA:U) in 2019 new and updated info is being released again.

I wanted to share some current player-created sites and tools that I use and that new or returning players may find handy. Feel free to add your favourites or suggestions.

Please note: except for content relating to the 'patron' system, daily quests/Archepass, cash/diligence shops, and server-specific information, or where otherwise noted, the info below is relevant to both legacy ArcheAge (AA) and ArcheAge: Unchained (AA:U).

    General guides and tools

    1. https://archeage.mokulu.io/schedule (Mokulu's ArcheAge Tools)
Update of the old ArcheAge Tools site. It includes daily event times (in your local time where relevant), daily quest list, tree growth timer, skill builder including ancestral skill options, honor, hiram and instanced raid guides, world bosses, dungeons, mounts, a trade pack price calculator and more. Probably the most comprehensive set of up-to-date calculators and guides. Bookmark it! Tip: To calculate thunderstruck chance in addition to tree growth times, use the original Thundercheck shown at 10. below.

    2. http://archeagecodex.com/us/ (Archeage Codex)
Comprehensive searchable listing of quests, items etc plus a separate skill calculator tool Useful for checking quest prerequisites, npc locations and so on. Skill calculator updated for 6.0 skill changes but does not show ancestral skill options.
Tip: for daily ocean kill quests, see seabug locations here

    3. General guides
Note: The West equivalent of Austera/Solis is Marianople. If you upgrade your glider as described in Kanon's video (optional) equip it between each upgrade ‘tier’ to receive credit towards Skywhisper collection achievement.
    • Quick guide to the Blue Salt Brotherhood questline here
    • Saarith.com tips for beginners here
    • How to start labour regeneration in ArcheAge Unchained here
    • Returning players may find these particularly helpful (content is aimed at ArcheAge Unchained but also relevant for legacy ArcheAge)
    • A tip for returniing players: move any mounts, pets and vehicles that you might have stored in your bag, to your bank, and vice versa. You may unlock new acheivements for owning these items.
Also see info on how to obtain Hiram pieces under 4. Gear tips below.

    Gear and crafting

    4. Gear tips and info (also see Crafting section below)
    • XL Games gearing guide Includes suggested stats, gems and more, up to T3. Produced for the SEA servers; some translations differ from NA/EU eg 'Ancient' equipment = 'Explorer' aka story equipment; blunts = clubs; Damage Repair Certificate = Decrystallization Scroll.
    • Use https://archeagecalculator.com (Archeage Gear Calculator) to see the effects of changing stats, gear, etc before spending your gold and labour in-game.
    • To see how your current gear compares to other gear, and upgrade paths, use the in-game 'Item encyclopaedia' icon located at the bottom of your inventory. This shows all equippable gear (armour, weapons, jewellery etc) organised by source and level. Tip: select the Item Grade of your equipped item in the drop down box at the top to see an accurate comparison.
    • For an overview of progression paths and options including accessories (and some very nicely produced vids), see Sentiment's Archeage Gear playlist. Updated for 5.5/6.0, covers hiram (excludes GotG tiers), crafted and library gear.
    • Hiram
      • Obtaining Hiram pieces - three ways to obtain additional hiram pieces here.
      • Returning players may be able to use one of the first two methods, but if not, check out Eidsyas' article on grinding T1 hiram here https://www.theoldergamers.com/threads/hiram-gear-and-you.652818/ (thanks Eids!) or if you prefer a video guide: Belamy Prime's complete Hiram guide or a shorter version, 5 beginner tips for grinding Hiram gear in ArcheAge 2019.
      • New players will be able to obtain Hiram gear via the race/story quest (first method).
      • This explains more about synthesis and awakening gear and this explains how to re-roll stats. Note: Explorer gear crates and infusions/rank 1-2 scrolls (only) are now sold by armour and general merchants, respectively. Rank 3 scrolls are only obtained by completing your race questline. 'Beginner catalyst stones' are now called Adventurer's Evenstones.
      • Lyvectra's Hiram xp spreadsheet showing Hiram upgrade tiers. Updated for 6.5 (June 2020)
      • This screenshot shows possible rewards from daily and weekly quests in Auroria excluding GotG. Updated for 7.0 (Oct 2020).
    5. Crafting tips and info
    • All crafting recipes and required materials are shown in the Folio aka crafting menu, accessed via the Vocation menu, bottom right hand of screen. Tip: Shift click on any material and select the 'Materials' search option to see what you can make with that material. To find 'awakening' scrolls for crafted armour, jewellery, and weapons (introduced in Update 6.0) - excludes ship items - search for the name of the next item grade, eg if you have an Illustrious piece you want to upgrade, search in the Folio for 'Magnificent'. A list if item grades is available by clicking ? icon in the top right-hand corder of your bag.
    • Lunagems:
      • Current unbreakable and non-recyclable (post update 5.1) regraded lunagems
      • Current unbreakable and recyclable (post update 4.0 'Maelstrom') T1-T3 crafted lunagems, their values and where they can be placed here
Note: both lunagem paths start with a basic T1 lunagem from the auction bouse or Honor shop. These can either be crafted up to T2 and T3 (requires handicraft proficiency or use crafting request) or regraded to T1, +2, +3, +4 and +5 using lunacharms - regraded gems are often called tempered gems by players. Crafted lunagems may be removed whole using a Mornstone, recloaked using a Transmuter, and reused. Regraded lunagems can't be removed whole, recloaked or reused but are cheaper to make and slot than crafted lunagems are.
    • Spreadsheet of breakable pre 4.0 honor and crafted gems - can still be used (and can still break) here
Also see: Belamy Prime's video New lunagem system explained (also covers lunafrosts)

    9. Player-made spreadsheets:

Best used as a template: Copy or download a local copy before inputting your own information, then save for future use.
    • Saarith.com's trade profit calculator template: Has three tabs : 1) Pack turn-in price assuming 100% demand, omitting any wartime bonus or freshness modifier; 2) Materials cost ; 3) For selected packs, comparison of cost, gold offered (= profit) / labour cost and time needed to deliver it (to see if it's worth doing). Requires you to input current AH prices of materials plus your own labour cost and actual demand % for the packs you're interested in.
    • Guizmo's AA Commerce spreadsheet shows maximum turn-in prices (130% demand including war-time bonus where applicable, omitting any freshness modifier) for all packs prices to/from various locations, plus 'freshness' zone map. Updated for 7.0 (Oct 2020)
    • Alterios's crafting profit calculator for products you craft for sale on the auction house (AH). Best used as a template: Copy or download a local copy before inputting your own information, then save for future use. To use, fill in the white cells for up to 6 ingredients x as many crafting runs as you want to do. Sortable by column.
    Other

    10. Thundercheck calculator/timer for Thunderstruck chance by tree type and climate. A list of seeds/trees with climate and growth times is here. Thunderstruck trees are a rare proc from tree growth stages (excludes fruit trees except cherry) needed for vehicles and other high-end crafting recipes (see 5. Crafting above).

    11. Common abbreviations used in the in-game chat: Archeage-Tutorials-Words-and-What-They-Mean

    12. Achievements
    • Updated guide to unlockable emotes on the Archeage Roleplay site here. Includes many npc locations.
    • Ayinmaiden has comprehensive info on title achievements and exploration/cartography (including videos and co ordinates) in Haranya and Nuia on her website.
    • Tog Games channel on Youtube also includes guides to cartography including newer zones plus Auroria, and other achievements, hidden content and more.
    • Quick guide to 'monster' mount taming for Tuskora Collection Achievement here.
    13. Lore - https://archeage.gamepedia.com/Lore (Lore) is probably the most comprehensive source. Archeage Roleplay has some info such as the text of in-game books (login may be required); Tog Games channel on Youtube also includes readings from in-game books, plus cartography and other achievements, hidden content and more.

    Ayanad painting locations:
Painting 1 pieces (tbc) - see The First Painting
    Painting 2 pieces here
Painting 3 pieces here (all in Haranya, let me know if you come across a list of Nuian locations).

    14. Farmhand
This is a new 'auto-farming' system added in November 2020 (7.0.2).
Note: on legacy servers, the farmhand's 'food' (vigor replenishment) is available for 150 credits not 10 diligence as stated in the video.

    Future updates

    15. D_pain's Lazy archeage Translations https://dpain.dev/ (D_Pain's Lazy Archeage Translations) translates news from the ArcheAge Korean website.
Updates are published in Korea before the rest of the world, so if you'd like to know what's coming up, keep an eye on this site. Caveat: Patches may be modified or bundled differently for other regions.

https://omnom.gg/ (Omnom) formerly published translations for updates between 3.5 to 6.0 (the release of Unchained) and maintains an archive of these.

If you prefer to see the original info, go to https://archeage.xlgames.com/mboards/amigo/ (published in Korean, you will need to enable a translator).

    Notes
XLGames XL Games is the developer and Korean publisher of ArcheAge, which it licenses to other publishers in other regions - more info on Wikipedia. XL Games is majority owned by Kakao Games from Feb 2020.
Returning players often incorrectly refer to Trion as the publisher for North America and Europe. Trion was the publisher for ArcheAge in North America and Europe from pre-launch (2014). In October 2018, Trion ceased operating which allowed Gamigo to acquire ArcheAge publishing rights and other assets.

Feel free to post any other good resources you know of below.

Fantastic addition - thanks! Thumbs for you :) More exploration resources:
    • You can also go to to https://archeagecodex.com and type in the area you want the locations for and 'cartographer' (eg Ocean Cartographer) you'll get a page listing all the locations, and some have comments and screen shots.

I realized that I set my calculator to view only. Here is a link that allows editing:
    Code:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-IVJDcJT51gOaQVBNkG6ZT9ssxBGJlVm2Ngla4xZUW4/edit?usp=sharing
I would ask that if you find it useful, copy it or download it. That way if you have something in there, it won't get overwritten. Also I forgot to mention that it is sortable by any column so if there is a recipe in there you don't have to re-enter all the info.

Thanks and thumbs for both for you :)

I've added these to the list at the top to minimise the amount of scrolling needed.

Farmhand system, how to get started:
Patchnotes got most covered, however its easy to miss out some of the details.
Note: my comments are based on testing PTS.

1 - Farmhand NPC can only be activated/bound to an already placed normal "house" bigger than 16. Patch notes says any land, however it did not work on my gazebo and pavilion. The activation part is relatively obvious as a own "icon" comes up next to the 2 others showing when approacing a property. Binding NPC costs 20 Tax certs.

2 - To access that little flying fellow, press Shift H. That will bring up the following image:

    upload_2020-11-10_15-33-32.png
Here you can equip the creature, either by buying from vocation shop, or craft something yourself...
Also note the vigor and labor part. Those need to be filled for the creature to do anything at all. Just press "+". Every week you get 500 free vigor that can be added to pool (that can keep max 3500). The free pool is resetting every monday at midnight....If you need more, you need to feed farmhand with Vitalizing Treats, which I presume is something you will be able to buy somewhere...(was not available on PTS). Vigor definitely seems to be the bottleneck here! Labor can be refilled more frequently, and is trransferred from your own pool. Check patch notes for details!

3 - Next step that might be a bit confusing, is putting this fellow to work, for that to happen you need to select a "Farm Design".
This can be done by selecting Farm tab and just select any available scarecrow, gazebo, pavilion from your inventory. I was able to use everything from a 8x8 to a gazebo (wasnt able to select cottage or any other "normal" house/building)
    upload_2020-11-10_15-36-21.png
Design was gone from inventory upon confirmation, so guess it ended somewhere in a virtual world for the creature to play with.
Design is returned when you select "Remove" from dialog above, so no worries there :)

4 - Command your minion to do some working. This part is relatively easy, however farmhand creature needs both labor and vigor as mentioned earlier.

I put 400 Narcissus seed in the Assign task box, and that yielded approx 1400 Narcissus after approx 1 hour 40 minutes. From that job the creature gained ~40% level XP...
    upload_2020-11-10_15-45-56.png

Note: this production consumed 400 vigor and 400 labor

    More details in patchnotes here:
