    Anyone seen this?

Its awesome fun. I grabbed a copy, and it is possible to play it over the internet (if you can configure port forwarding on your router).

Just thought I would share :)

The licensing model states one copy per bridge crew (you can run multiple ships per simulation). So, you can purchase, download, and share with the 5 other people who will be your crew :)

I bought it, and had a quick go with some friends. Actually great fun lol.

How much fiddling about do you need to do to play it over the net!?

Practically none. Just need to set up port forwarding on your router, to whichever machine is running the Artemis server. Port 2010 externally to port 2010 on the server machine. That is all :)

Played briefly at a LAN a long time ago and was good for a laugh. Although our crew was more destructive then they probably should be. FUN THOUGH.

I'd just seen this on Steam and wondered if any TOGgers were up for V2.0 :)

Shout out if anyone's keen on the 6-Pack!

I thought this was replacing the version you can buy from the site itself, but (if I've got it right), if you buy from their site, for $40 you get a 6 user license (no drm) - or the Steam version is a single user license.

I wonder how it plays online. I'd really like to try and get mates together in the same room (with a projector for the main screen) - that would be pretty cool.

I believe you're right Bort. Also if you bought V1, you can get an upgrade for V2 for $5, as per the Artemis forum FAQ.

I think the $7 would be a worthwhile investment, happy to go in for a 6 pack if people are interested - the A$44 option would really only work if people were in the same physical location.

Looking at buying the $7 version if two or more others are also keen to play over TS. Even if I get two or three good missions out of it I'll be happy for $7.

Having played a few missions now, the $7 version is excellent value.
The version 2.0 launch on Steam has increased the community numbers, with plenty of ad-hoc games organised on the Steam discussion forums.

Good to hear. how are the adhocs organising voice comms? They advertise a game host and voice server at the same time?

Played last night with two others on lan. A lot of fun and a great exercise in team work. Im going to try a random pickup group through the week on the artemis ts server and after that see if any togs want to try this next saturday night.

Im thinking v2.0 8pm brisbane / 9pm sydney. Tog teamspeak. Any takers?

I'm in Fox, I just fear for the safety of the Artemis with a TOG crew ;)
