I set up the download for BF1 early access this morning before going to work, expecting to see about half of it downloaded on return. Which means I should have been playing when I got home, as it states download "Playable at 33%"

Came home, and PC was frozen thanks to a f***** Windows10 update.

Instead of about 20Gb downloaded, only 3Gb.

    F***** Windows10

I DO NOT WANT TO BE SUBJECT TO RANDOM UPDATES MICROSOFT!!!!!!!!!!
I WANT TO CHOOSE WHEN, AND PREFERABLY IF

Mine just finished downloading. I might just start it up tonight to make sure it's working, but won't play until tomorrow...

That's the one thing I hate about windows 10. Fortunately my update completed before I started the BF1 download. I did have to change my reboot time to 7:00pm tonight so it wouldn't reboot while I was downloading.

This might help you to turn it off.

Rubbish ... you'll go through 4 hours of your trial tonight!!!! I know you too well.

So I played a little bit of the campaign last night and a full map rotation of conquest .. all I can say is wow! and have used up 2.5hrs already. I did spend a fair bit of time in the settings and menus to have a look around too. I have a feeling my trial time will be finished by Saturday evening lol

I think the time will be best used when playing as a proper squad, I kept spamming "request order" and not one squad leader did it. Hopefully see you guys online tonight.

As for the Operations game mode .. is that playable? and don't know why it's in it's separate menu and not in the multiplayer category.

    Hi Guys,

I've also pre-ordered the game. However, my download window doesn't start until 1:00pm EDT here in the States. It seems oceanic region got to download the game before other global regions.

Is there a difference between EA Access access and pre-order access?

EA access is 5 days earlier then Pre Order access, if you have EA access you can play now for 10 hours (a few of us were on last night) Pre Order starts on Tuesday.

Also you dont need to but the game with EA access, just buy 1 month of EA access for ~$7 and you get 10 hours of free play and 10% of the cost of the game if you decide to buy it.

In terms of gameplay? Origin Access is limited in terms of maps. I think there are only 4 or 5 maps. It's also missing a couple of modes.

In terms of download? It's identical. If you download EA Access Battlefield 1 you have the full game.

By the way, I just received an email from Origin -- the Battlefield 1 preload is available.

I started my download at 11:02.
According to EA, 40 minutes to go (78%) at 1:32. 31/49GB

If it's the Deluxe version of the game, you can start playing from 10pm on Monday.
I think the standard edition lets you play from 10pm on Thursday.

Probably won't make a difference. I imagine the servers are getting hammered, no matter where they are

Apparently there is a day 1 patch on the consoles. We'll probably see the same on PC -- 2.6 GB. People in some countries already have the full game and it is playable, but it is still map/mode limited like the trial until the official launch.
