Yeah, It kind of gives it away as a place holder, which is a good thing because her voice is an immersion killer.

Some of the bits and pieces picked up from the gameplay...

    https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/comments/4nsl5t/list_of_some_multiplayer_gameplay_details/

Someone noticed that the absurdity known as visual recoil is back. We'll have to wait for the CTE to remove it again presumably!

Interestingly, the Behemoth (airship) spawns for the losing team. So if your team is playing like crap, it will appear and all of your crap players will jump in it to pad their KDR while you keep trying to cap flags!

The weather system has the potential to be a real game changer. Levolution was a farce for me, but if weather was random every match and every map, for me it adds longevity to matches. Whoever can conquer the variable weather reigns supreme. I wouldn't care if one match it's permanently raining, permanently foggy or permanently sunny - as long as it was an unknown variable and could potentially change at any time.

This looks sick, I cant wait! Love the sound, every shot has a real punch to it, I think I'll have to get a surround sound system going for this, or upgrade my headset!

Hopefully more bolt action single fire rifles to come, they're been great fun in games past (BF1942, MOH:AA).

Edit: Thanks for the posts Niet, I've just been coming here for updates instead of reddit :)

This video has some funny moments, like when every gets in his car and none of the celebrities understand how to drive. Then levelcap gets in the driver seat and takes off down the hill with The Game and Whiz Khalifa in his car, spamming machine guns.

damn just watching that MP vid - it looks like SMGs will be king again even over medium distance. Like I said, its BF4 reskinned. :) its not so bad in a way - BF has always been about fast paced action (which is why Metro was such a hit) so it separates itself from the likes of Verdun and RO.

    What I noticed :

"You've lost objective freddy" @ 2:15 of the 1st video
    "you've lost objective duff" @ 3:57
    "objective butter" @ 4:16
"we have lost objective apples" @2:32 second video

All up it sounds like a good night out

Apparently the SMGs are woeful at medium ranges. The first bullet from the gun has random deviation, so you can't tap fire it accurately at long ranges.

A balance mechanism from DICE, but "randomness" sucks. It reduces the skill gap when the roll of a dice determines if your first bullet hits.

Instead, they should probably -- increase recoil, reduce damage, slow RPM to balance them against bolt/semi-autos.

It is an alpha though, so they are probably still tweaking weapon mechanics.

yeah all I'm judging by is the little video snippets on here plus on reddit. Most of the vids are of someone running 'n gunning with an SMG which doesn't fill me with confidence...but you're right, probably too early to judge. I'm a big fan of bolt actions so as long as rifles get the ability to do major damage (which appears so from the sniping vids) then I'm good.

Tank warfare does look good though...esp multi crewed tanks

    Very Pistol perhaps?
How stupid is it for a sniper to have a bayonet fitted?
Hopefully they get instant trench rot if they stay too long in 1 position :)

I See that the scoreboard is still displaying the kills and deaths unfortunately.
At least they have increased the score for PTFO

That aggressive sniper gameplay was great to watch! That's the kind of fighting i'm hoping for with bolt action style guns (if more are to come).
