He was shooting it as a lefty too
On a righty rifle
Will this overcome the disappointments of BF3 and BF4?
The releases I think you mean. BF4 has turned into a very solid shooter
SERVER BROWSER CONFIRMED!!!!!
No Battlefront idiocy this time.
Pilot classes will have their own gear. No more snipers taking vehicles to get to their camping spot.
Bayonet charge sounds weird though -- once you charge it is an automated process, so you run super fast at someone. Could look cool, but as Jack says in the video -- Automation is usually bad in FPS games (look at knifing mechanic).
Other things confirmed:
- There will be a range of naval vessels
- Dynamic damage to vehicles i.e planes can lose part of their wings affecting flying.
- Different types of melee weapons will have its advantages and disadvantages.
– Weapon attachments will be authentic to the era, so they will be things like writing things on the gunstock.
Automation is fricking horrible. Mantling was always a bad joke, and knifing has gone the same way.
Pilot classes... I dunno. Feels like a really bad idea to me.
Why? It means people have to commit to being a vehicle pilot. Are you worried about not being able to land and repair?

But do you have to choose the pilot class before being able to fly or do you become a pilot class when spawning into an air vehicle?
Either way, I like the idea of having to give up being a full fledged class to be in a cockpit.
I think you would automatically become a pilot if you choose to spawn into a plane.
Apparently the biggest tank in this game can contain a full squad -- I assume in that case the guys on the guns get to keep their normal classes.
Interview with DICE producer Aleks Grondal
Heavy tank doesn't have a rotating central turret, but light tank does... Should be interesting.
Hopefully a teamwork emphasis.
I've no issues with someone landing (at an airstrip?) to repair their plane. What I hope the don't have is the BS repairing on the wing nonsense, eg little bird in BF4.
Hopefully you'll be able to shoot the planes down.
Now, where did I leave my submarine?
Haven't played BF4 in a while and am really looking forward to BF1. Will most likely upgrade my pc prior to release and heck, might even pre-order lol.
I should play some BF4 once in a while to keep my FPS skills up to scratch.
I think that is how it will work. There will also be flak cannons on the ground, and air balloons (running into the wires can take down a play).
Maybe support will get balloons, that would be cool imo!
Hopefully you'll be able to headshot pilots out also, which would add risk to flying low and strafing infantry.
That's how the Red Baron died after all -- he was shot an infantry on the ground.
Who is the red baron?
Killed by an Australian infantryman and buried by Aussies.
Who are the Harlem Hellfighters
i wont be playing the new battlefeild game i have no desire to go back to using bolt action rifles....planes made out of canvas and string or tanks which if portrayed realisticly were big slow easily bogged peices of crap, i was hoping they would go forward in time not backwards ill play BF4 till it dies
While we don't have a weapon list, LMG's and SMG's are said to be in game. Won't have to touch a bolt action if you don't want to.
I'm not going to pre-order but I wont dismiss the game either. I can see potential that I hope comes to fruition
EA Access. You can try the full game 5 days earlier than pre-orders and there's no obligation to purchase.
Which may be sooner than you think if everyone moves to BF1
