beat me too it
Them feels during trailer...
I spotted the iconic slouch hat a few times
Some more "conjecture" on weapon cammo/attachments
Not much real info in this...
Screenshot from Amiens (please be similar to Seine crossing!)
I'm putting it out there that the model of the Aussie was Hugh Jackman. When you first see him in the trailer it is unmistakable
** SPOILERS ** 12 Minutes of Single Player Campaign
Only watched a smidge of the video, was hoping that they'd show the brutality and futility of such senseless killing and from the snippet I watched, it seems to deliver just that. Looks like an area used for the first MP map we saw.
I thought it looked like Peter O'Brien more than Hugh Jackman.
Anyone know why that enemy support guy was such an A-hole?
Seemed like a good effective player to me...
I think I worked it out...
You and your links are totally wrong. I totally reject the information staring me right in the face
What can I say?
The community has spoken...
The Democratic process has dictated that kills affect the ticket count...
I'm not sure why there is a need for further discussion...
I'm not sure what he wants to do about it <scratch head>
I don't think it was a democratic process at all. A lot of people had knee-jerk reactions and screamed about it loudly on the forums.
I think the new system had enough advantages to be superior to the old system. It had problems for "competitive" play, but that affects a very small minority of players. DICE could have made a different comp-rules setting for that (redeploying costs a ticket).
I like how the new system emphasised PTFO and teamplay. A tanker going on a 60-0 killing spree wasn't as good as a squad getting on flags.
I saw it as a knee jerk reaction, too. I liked the changes to the system - it would have been good to see how they played out after release when the game was being taken more seriously. I guess ultimately if they keep PTFO scoring high and kills at a lower level, then those able to kill while PTFOing will end up at the top of most leader boards.
I saw no difference in my place on the leaderboard between BF4 and BF1. Just played the same way and ended up in roughly the same position.
The only bad part of the new conquest system was how difficult comebacks were (and its unsuitability for competitive play). I guess the behemoth could help the losers make a comeback, but the new system was mostly positives imo.
There were some absolutely insane arguments on the forums like: "why revive anymore it means nothing". Well, if you revive, your team mate is ALIVE and can cap a flag. If they are DEAD they can't do anything. It was a pretty insane and unhinged knee jerk reaction.
I have a problem with this statement...
How is it that EA/DICE don't have the nowse to work that out for themselves?
Surely it is in their interest to be in touch with the majority simply because understanding their market relates to bigger profits...
And they are hardly novices in the business...
If you and purg are correct, this might be a lessen to all those who didn't forcibly voice their *considered* opinion...
Regarding my opinion, I enjoyed the beta more than I thought I would with the old rules, but I also enjoy the idea that you get rewarded for killing people...errr...I mean fragging representations of people... (which satisfies my inner, genetically/evolutionary inspired reptilian impulses/instincts)...
And in my opinion, with the benefit of hindsight, I still believe the old system of point scoring was designed to fail to give a sense of self determination to the retail player...
Just my opinion...<shrug>
Well if you like something, you aren't necessarily going to complain about how much you like it.
Youtubers told the player base that "It would ruin conquest", "Conquest is dead" and so on. The level of hyperbole was insane, it was mostly kneejerk reaction to something new. There were only 2 valid criticisms that I saw, everything else was players wanting conquest to be more like TDM.
Yes DICE know better on most occasions but they are populists, they have to be. They will cave if they reach a certain threshold of players throwing tantrums.
