Admittedly i kind of like spotting - Yet again i suck hard.

No matter looking forward to this one BF2 was my first FPS game of note and after trying the others COD and BFBC i still rate BF2 on top.

Spotting has never been the issue - it can really enhance teamwork... but to have the spotting done by a drone, or worse - a weapon mounted mod (looking at you MW2) - is just crappy fiction.

Having spotting shared amongst team-members is good - but limiting it to squad mates is a great idea!

The real problem is the "eye in the sky" that isn't an eye - it's a magic 8-ball that knows the location of every player, no matter where they are, how well they're hidden, or if they're deep in an underground bunker. It's not spotting - it's a hack.

If a teammate sights the enemy - he should be able to communicate with his squad/team-mates the enemy position. This is/was emergent gameplay, enhancing teamwork.

But to undo stealth or any sort of strategy/tactic is counter-intuitive, and a real game-breaker.
