Against my better judgement I gave our clients a time frame for a testing version of our update to be available (as I was instructed to do from above) and the night before we were ready to release, one of the 3rd party data providers made yet another change which meant we couldn't release.

If I hadn't said "You should be able to get on Friday", when Friday came around and they still couldn't access it wouldn't have been so bad, but I did tell them that and sure enough Thursday night things changed and they couldn't access on Friday so now it's all my fault.

Sometimes you're better off not know until everything is ok. It might seem wrong, but sometimes it's just better.

That is Bukkit's approach. People keep asking them for timelines, progress reports, Gantt charts, etc but they don't realise that outside the context of the actual development, these things are meaningless.

But, my point is we have potential problems we know about and things we have seen in the config files (for v8.1.1 and v8.2) that we need to check out. It is useless to tell you about them and make you fret about things that might be easily solved. That is why we test before implementing as clients/users, just like the developers test before releasing. So I am not willing to go into specifics yet. When I let you back on the server, I will tell you what you need to know. There is little you need to know at this point in time, so I am not telling you.

I do! Well I did, the ones I don't use have been relocated to an unloaded chunk in a far away land, and I reckon they are awesome, but I wouldn't bat an eye at losing them if it improved our server in the slightest.

I killed all my sharks in my moat so I could have more horses at home, after we had the sharks vs wolves showdown, which unbelievably the sharks nearly lost.

ugh, I was filling out some stuff for a job but got irritated....think I will do nothing for a while and hope to see Mindcrack soon. :D

I still think we should look into adding the Divine RPG mod, it would be great to play as a group.

Is there any way to find out the humidity of an area in game?

I've noticed two types of grassland plains. One looks more dry than the other but other than looks, I am not sure the difference in the two.

    Texture Packs

So I have been wanting to use a texture pack with Mindcrack but I can't seem to find one.

The culprit so far is Mo Creatures. I can not find anything who is compatible with it.

    Has anyone had any luck?

No, there's no texture pack for Mo Creatures that seems to work. However, if you install a texture pack, it will just use default textures for the things it doesn't have textures for.
I'm a big fan of Faithful 32, and it's got support for our mods, although the pack for each mod has to be downloaded separately and added to the texture pack manually. The Mo Creatures pack on the support page is missing a lot of textures, and the ones that are there look half done.

You wouldn't happen to have a list of the additional textures we need to download for the TOG Server?

That Texture pack looks great :)

I had to open up the list of mods in the launcher and match them. :(
I put the pack together, but I don't think I can distribute it.

Also, I'm going to probably have to re-build it after the server update.

Yeah, that one does look pretty cool.

Pretty detailed for a 32x pack.

    Great idea, but...

I might wait until the server is updated before looking into that.

Easiest way is to put down an hive and right click on it. It will say on the right hand side.

    World tick error

A few of us were getting world tick errors and crashing this morning due to world tick errors.

My console errors were from mo'creatures and the custom spawner mod.

Aveege eventually was able to log in after many many tries and I was unable too until Cnafe went into my base and drowned my mo'creature pets. This corrected the error.

So if anyone is getting this error get some one to check where you are logging into and have any mo'creature wild or otherwise removed.
