back up ... that minute was the longest in my life LOL
Ok now things have got weirder
In a safe (only can be accessed by me or admins) I had all my mining gear - I always drop it off at the end of the evening
4 canvas bags
1 ender pouch
1 ultimate lap pack
silk touch 1 /unbreaking pick 3 (called silky)
fortune 3 unbreaking 3 pick (called fortu)
efficiency 4 unbreaking 3 pick (called precious I think)
spare jet pack
edit: sorry forgot to add diamond jackhammer and mining laser
Is there a nightly server restart or something that might be rolling back last actions of players ?? Im so over it ... this is the third Ultimate lap pack in a week, all have occasions this has happened have one common fact they are the last things I put away prior to leaving the server at night - two other times only the Ultimate lap pack has gone but this time ALL the items I dropped off before leaving are gone
This is not my fault and I would like all my items replaced - I have done NOTHING stupid/reckless I have not dropped them, they have not been de-spawned - they just simply disappear.
wow, that is a lot of stuff.
We are lagging very badly, we probably need a reboot.
Found horse name Moosh
Found him wandering around outside of spawn, just north of the city.
Coords -65,-8, 64.
server is down .. please restart/boot thanks
It was lagging badly all morning - I'm not surprised.
restart when someone has time pweese
if that will help as it's playing up pretty bad
Hmmm. That is very peculiar. The nightly backup should only have missed, if anything, any edits in the last ten minutes.
As I will be pointing out in the meeting tonight, there are many issues with FTB and much of this cannot be the fault of a player.
Deep, PM us the coordinates of the safe and we will investigate it.
I have a slight theory ... client side I have removed the items from my inventory prior to leaving the server ... therefore no matter what takes place with server roll back or server memory leak these items are not ever going to re-appear in my inventory on my person
However if in the unloading of my chunk (because I have left and no one else is there for it to be loaded) there is a memory leak or rollback of sorts with that chunk then the server will deam those items as not having been placed in the chest and as my client profile has deamed them removed from me then they no longer exist in either area
I am unusual it appears in my habit of emptying my inventory upon leaving the server .. hence why it does not appear to be affecting others the same way .. also if I have emptied my items a while before leaving the server and have done other things before disconnecting the my items have not disappeared
does this make any sense to anyone ... the fact that my client file reads the items as no longer on me when I disconnect?
Wow, that's mine, I thought it had died when I tried to teleport to the wastes about a month ago.
he has been transported to the glue factory, muhahahaha!!!!
True, but he never got the chance to say it.
Yes, that is one possibility, unfortunately. FTB chunks are "leaky" so things do misbehave. However, every problem has to be investigated by the Admin team as we are determined to remove any griefers that may try to take advantage of other player's efforts.
I think we need a Mo'Creatures Pet Registry thread.
Mo'Creatures Pet Registry
In this thread you can post a list of your pets. That way if they get out and you don't know, people can check to see who owns it.
I'll start with mine.
Gunpowder replaced with I TNT
Blue Sapphire/Ruby 1:1
How long do you leave between emptying your inventory and leaving the server/chunk?
It could be that it's recording that the items are not in your inventory any more, but it's not given enough time to note the new location of them before that chunk gets despawned? So they disappear.
You've had a problem before with the work you'd done just prior to logging off had been undone the next time you came on (covering your quarry holes with the marble/obsidian, and them being uncovered again next day) - could be a similar thing.
Why it happens to you and seemingly not to anyone else, I don't know....
There are tools/items/actions that can cause world corruption, perhaps that has happened in the chunks that make up your area. I probably should have taken more notice of what things can cause this so as not to do them, but... laziness I guess.
