currently at work with no youtube,
Here’s Some Leaked Footage Of Battlefield 3 In Action | Kotaku Australia
if you go to his youtube channel, he has more footage apparently.
its only a matter of time!
The stuff on his youtube channel is much better because it doesn't have a fruity song blotting out the in-game sounds and you can play it in 1080p.
Looks quite impressive and if you've played BC2, a lot of it would feel very familiar.
Much happier than you have to equip the knife before you can use it. The insta-knife that seems all the rage these days annoys the crap out of me.
Hopefully he'll stick up more footage.
nevermind Bruizer posted
please NO orange triangles............
yer, hopefully we can get some TOG servers up in ladder format... Never understood why GA and others didn't have any like that for BC2. TOG always does, but as a second server, and it always, always dies first.
My recommendation to the forthcoming BF3 Division Capt - put the ladder format server up first
man it looks like BC2 so bad I just pray it doesn't feel like it! Otherwise it will die just as quick.
16+ months since the release of BC2 and I'd hardly call this game dead, inside and outside of TOG, it has actually done quite well. This will ofcourse change with the impending release of BF3.
Once the open beta is released we will get a better indication of overall gameplay.
More videos from our Alpha leaker. Hopefully they'll embed.
@ Video #1 in Purg's post above. He ran for 2mins 30secs before seeing any enemy WTF? I think the sigh by the player after 1.30 says it all. If I was snapped by a sniper rifle at that point, I'd just about put my fist through the monitor
Edit: @ Lighty. Since I've never played BC2, what did you not like about the game play? ( open to anyone to answer )
You can't push forward through the map zones in rush mode until you've destroyed the MCOM objectives, but you can always walk back through old areas. That's what the guy's done, in order to show us the whole map in one go.
BC2 was a console port, and too infantry heavy for some, with too many explosives, and lacking the strategic nuances of the older BF titles. I personally think the inf (minus the CG, which is just a railgun with massive splash damage) is awesome, best I've ever played - the destructive environments are so much fun, and the use of explosives only adds to it. But the tactical scope isn't huge, there's only angles-of-fire and often nowhere to dig in and apply different solutions. It doesn't work at all on the larger maps, and the vehicles were limited. A combination of both old and new elements would be amazing, IMO, though I wouldn't presume to speak about what Lighty's looking for.
I've played COD, BF, BC2 and MOH, I liked the balance of vehicles/infantry in BC2 the most. If they keep the maps about that same size, same amount of vehicles, that would be awesome. However, I prefer how the weapons feel from MOH so I hope they feel like MOH weapons.
