well that looks pretty nice! The video shows jets moving much slower than in BF2, though that may have just been slowed down for the purposes of the video. Either way - here we go again
worried about how close together some of the flags seem to be on this 64 player map, and the fact there's only five of them. But it looks amazing.
@Inglorius Nub - I have no idea but I'm sure that sums up my skill level... My wife is going to be p*ssed when she sees the email saying I've pre-ordered this and another year of my life will be spent on the pc...
just told my partner that I'm going to be living on the pc when bf3 comes out Already watched the vid 6 times
Hi Guys, I wonder how many players on that Caspen Border map flying helicopters and jets. Will clip those antenna cables that support the communications tower. It'll be like driving a vehicle into a tree at high speeds.
Looks totally awesome. I just hope they've worked on gameplay as much as graphics. Stuff like lag, hit rego, dolphin diving, unbalanced weapons (e.g. noob tube, nade spam) etc etc went a long way to ruin BF2. Fingers crossed that the new engine and thorough testing by the developers resolves some of these problems.
Can at least confirm dolphin diving has been nerfed though I hope they don't nerf some of the infantry weapons. The heart of BF3 should still be grunts on the ground doing the hard work. Give them weak and ineffective weapons against anything but other grunts and you'll just create a larger queue waiting for something with wheels or something with wings. Perhaps it wouldn't be as much of an issue on a TOG server where you can at least communicate and create a balanced squad so you can team up an Engie with a Support guy to feed him anti-armour/air ammo but I'd suggest the majority of the players won't have the luxury of a solid squad to play with. I'd say most of my time will probably be spent MG'ing it up - unless it's a very air friendly map.. then I'd likely opt for anti-air.
Have been successfully wow'ed again. First the thunder run tank video, and now this. Am pretty happy about BF 3 upcoming release.
