Anything relating to real life tends to be really unpopular, especially something people are quite close to. :)

    OK.

Greek Mythology it is, until DC can confirm/deny.

Shall we discuss steam size now? If comps play 8, suggest 12. If comp plays 12, suggest 16. This is "thin", but will ensure, all team players get a go, TOG will have at least three top squads, probably five comp squads, will allow TOG scrims across TOG teams.

Thoughts? Is 4 extra to light? I would just hate to see TOG top 30 players on one Alpha squad, 1/2 sitting on sidelines, when TOG should be able to have three top squads on top 10 of ladders.

We are banking on 32 player maps - so 16 players mate.............no credible info that this is the case yet though:)

If 16 players, then 24 would be my call. 2/3 get to play, 8 reserves as rotation.

Can i suggest temporarily we create squads in a similar structure to our BC2 division?

    Griffins: Squad 1
    Raptors: Squad 2
    Falcons: Squad 3
    Terror Dactyls: Squad 4

That way once we get everyone in their chosen/preferred squads, they can have an internal poll for their squad name. Just putting it out there, that way we have some semblance of structure once it goes live :p

Until the DC position is filled, we won't be getting a private subforum.

I am sure the admins are watching this forum closely and will put up the application for DC soon.

What would be great: TOG has at least one squad, maybe more, ready when BF3 comps start. I assume this will happen first week, after demo ends. We were late of the mark with BC2, would be cool to be in the first round of ladders, for BF3.

How do we start the ground work for this to happen?

    We have squad names
We have ideas on squad size
Can we start taking names of interested TOGers?

Nah I'm already a member. Signed up this morning to get away from the youngsters heh heh. I meant just for getting into BF3. Been pretty excited about this one since seeing the E3 footage. It's not like me at all. Despite having a life long love for games, I'm getting a bit jaded these days and I'm finding it hard to be enthusiastic about most of the new releases that's coming out. Just seems a lot of same old same old. But BF3 looks like it's gonna kick some! That and Dead Island and Skyrim. But if there's anything out there that I've missed of late that anyone can recommend. I'll happily give it a shot.

Looks like I won't be playing COD3 much especially without dedi servers so I may well be interested in playing BF3 competitively but will have to see how the game actually plays first :p

Maybe it's just me but PC games seem to be massively underdelivering these days so I'm finding it harder and harder to get excited about new releases. Recently it seems all about the looks and not the content.

So tentatively "yes" with a "but" :w
